Real Church began when Pastor Tommy sensed God’s calling to plant a new church. He left his position as a youth pastor at a mega church, and on February 1, 2003, he and his wife Julie started a Bible study in a vacant room at the Oklahoma Athletic Club, with nine people in attendance. Since that day, God has brought together a beautifully diverse group of people from different races, socio-economic classes, and educational backgrounds to form Real Church. In 2006, the people of Real Church stepped out in faith to purchase the old Fun Skate building as our permanent place of worship. In this location, we have many opportunities to reach out to the surrounding community and show God’s love. We have also been blessed with the incredible people God has sent to Real Church to serve as staff members and volunteers. With all that God has already done, we can’t wait to see what He has in store for the future. We call ourselves Real Church because we are a church where you can be you. We accept you for who you are right now, just as God does. It is our hope that Real Church also becomes a place where you can invite God’s presence into your life. After all, it is God who works in us to transform us into the people He desires us to become. You are invited to come worship with us. We look forward to seeing you.
